This guys not talking to me? help?

hey, my brothers friend added me on facebook. and he was asking my brother "should I write 'heey ;) ' on your sisters wall? and he hasn't even said 'hey' to me yet, and it's been like 5 days.. should I say hi to him first? or wait for him to say hey to me first? if I say hey first do you think he'll think I'm weird.... ? I'm 15 and he's 16 or 17 .
