Is it weird that I wish I lived in 1970s era New York City?

As rough as it may have been, I'd gladly take 70's NYC over the touristy, corporate whore it's become. I'm not professing any love for gangs and crime, but NYC has been diluted like a watered down drink and all the hipsters and transplants have driven out the soul of this city. Times Square is like Vegas now.
